Barneys very first indoor visit!

Barney did his first INDOOR visit today. Lots of noise, soft carpet underfoot, wheelchairs, zimmer frames, elderly people everywhere and automatic doors opening and closing randomly.

He was a little overwhelmed to start with BUT he has worked with Sarah for ages and he put all his trust in Sarah and Michelle to guide him. It really helps doing lots of practicing with the therapy ponies to build trust between them and us so if they are ever feeling unsure, they look to the handler for guidance. This hard work preparing them really paid off today with a calm, happy pony going into a building and in and out of a lift trusting his handler 100%.
