Pixie & Pickles Adventures offers a unique service using Shetland Ponies.
We visit your home or establishment with selected ponies for therapy visits. Our ponies even have special pants to wear so that we can avoid mishaps! Our ponies are kind, gentle and loveable and adore their role as therapy ponies.
So what are therapy ponies and how can they help?
Studies have shown that human interaction with animals provides many benefits in all age groups. The presence of animals not only improves a person’s emotional health but also physical.
Horses are known to be sensitive and intuitive and they mirror human emotions.
Horses allow people to relax as they accept everyone without judgement.

Wow, 4 seasons in one day!!
I'm sure you have all had the same: bitterly cold, gale force winds, followed by glorious, warm sunshine and blue skies, followed by sleet showers then torrential rain!! Our adorable therapy ponies are fortunate that they are built to withstand these horrible conditions. Their hair is super thick and has a double layer for extra protection from the elements. Pickles, Arthur and Charlie wear rugs to keep them warm and dry as their thick hair has been clipped off so they don't get too hot and uncomfortable when they visit people inside warm buildings in the winter months. Today all the ponies didn't care about the weather as they tucked into their hay which we put in metal feeder rings otherwise it would all be blown away = frustrated/cross l#therapyponiesarethebestoniesarethebest
Enjoying the sunshine on their little backs before the weather turns cold again.
* Turn the volume up to listen to them munching on the spring grass - lovely *

8 therapy ponies and only 1 of them is polite enough to stop stuffing their mouths with hay for a second, and come over to the camera to say 'hello' to our followers. Well done Bluebell 😀
