Farrier John

There is a famous old saying, ‘No foot, no horse’ and our therapy ponies are no exception. They have their feet checked and trimmed by our farrier, John every 6 weeks throughout the year. A shetland hoof is naturally hard and tough, but John checks for signs of wear and tear, any potential bruising of the soles from the hard ground, and also keeps them in the correct shape (smooth edges and rounded). John checked 32 little hooves today and was happy with all of them.

Sorry John, I always seem to be filming your bottom!!
