When it is 30 degrees plus, our ponies rest in the shade of their stables first thing, then enjoy a cool shower from the hose pipe before they head out into the fields. In this extreme heat the therapy ponies prefer to be in the fields were they can appreciate any breeze and rest under the trees for shade. They have a hosepipe ‘soak’ twice a day to help keep them cool, happy and comfortable.
