Making a Difference, One Pony at a Time

Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Pickles Toby and Oliver visit schools and spend quality time with children helping to improve a range of skills including sensory, motor, social interaction and language.
We understand that not every child will benefit as ASD presents in so many different ways, but these 3 ponies alongside their handlers are incredible at interacting with young people in a safe, professional environment.
All staff are DBS cleared.

Care/Nursing Homes

Most of our therapy ponies visit care homes providing a fun and therapeutic experience for residents and staff alike. Memories are awakened, stress is reduced and happiness is in abundance. The ponies and our handlers work closely with residents who are bed bound, living with Dementia or have Limited Mobility in wheelchairs and use zimmer frames. We are extremely proud of Pickles who has received a Recognition Award for the incredible work she does with those suffering with Dementia. All the ponies travel in lifts and wear special underpants so they only leave smiles behind!

Hospices (End of Life)

Charlie is our very experienced pony who visits people approaching the end of their life. We are immensley proud to share the exciting news that Charlie has made it to the Finals of the 2026 BBC Make A Difference Awards, recognising the incredible work he does with End Of Life Patients. The Finals are in September and we will update everyone with how he gets on. 🤞 fingers crossed the judges love seeing what he does!!
These visits are often surrounded by families and dedicated staff/carers and although the room is calm and peaceful, emotions are understandably very high with many tears being shed. Charlie enters the room, approaches the person and intuitively assesses how much they can interact with him depending on how poorly they are that day. He rests his nose by their hand for a stroke, but if no response, he will make his way to their pillow and gently rest his nose next to their face, gently breathing so they can feel he is there supporting them in their hour of need. Memories are made for everyone to cherish for ever and visits are free of charge.

Hospitals

Charlie, Arthur and Romeo are shampooed, dried and meticulously brushed. They then wear their special underpants and ‘Therapy Pony at Work tabards’ to go into the NHS Hospitals. They make their way to the wards, out patient clinics, A&E and staff offices to bring joy, selfies and much needed cuddles to help the patients, visitors and staff get through the day.
We have many policies in place for these visits, including Infection Control and Health and Safety. Cleanliness and safety are our priority on these visits with antibacterial hand gel applied to everyone before and after contact with our ponies.

Youth Groups

Oliver, Toby, Barney and Pickles love visiting young children and teenagers. We take the ponies to groups to educate and explain the unique service they offer young people. Many youths we meet have their first ever experience of being close to and touching a pony and we enjoy answering many questions. These sessions are popular with Scouts, Guides, Army Cadets, Brownies, Beavers and Youth Clubs.

Work Places

Charlie, Arthur, Romeo and Pickles go to work places and offices visiting everybody whilst they are busy working. They love attending Wellbeing days, Workshops and offer a break from the normal work routine. They help with office ‘bonding’ days by providing cuddles, strokes, selfies and sometimes a lovely walk in the fresh air. The amazing feedback we have, just proves that the ponies are a unique visitor experience!
